    "Let's Talk About It" Calling Upon Government to Improve Access to Key

    OTTAWA, June 4 /CNW/ - "Let's Talk About It", a provincial campaign
organized by Schizophrenia Digest, will hold the fourth in a series of
province-wide community public forums in Ottawa on June 5th at the Royal
Ottawa Health Care Group.
    According to an Ottawa-based poll, 92 per cent of respondents agree the
cost of medications prescribed to someone with schizophrenia should be covered
by provincial health insurance plans. In Ottawa, 62 per cent believe the cost
of leaving schizophrenia untreated is greater than the cost of treating it.
Almost two-thirds of Ottawa residents surveyed (62 per cent) are willing to
pay an extra $1 in taxes every year to ensure better treatment for people with
    Schizophrenia Digest publisher Bill MacPhee and keynote speaker Dr.
Christopher Eaton will address the real cost of this illness to society and be
