TORONTO, June 20 /CNW/ - Ice-cream has never been more satisfying! On
June 21st, Marble Slab Creamery celebrates the arrival of summer by donating
$1.00 from every purchase to their new national partners, Big Brothers Big
Sisters Canada. In addition, Marble Slab Creamery is giving kids and their
mentors the opportunity to grab a scoop and set up behind the frozen marble
slab to create their own ice-cream masterpiece.
"Kids and ice cream are the essence of summer," said Marble Slab Creamery
President, Cam Inglis. "This is why we're thrilled to partner with a dynamic
and important organization such as Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada who share
our commitment and passion to supporting children in our communities."
Innovators of the mixins concept, Marble Slab Creamery offers 47 flavours
of homemade ice-cream and more than 35 mixins such as candy, chocolate, cookie
dough and nuts to create personal combinations that are absolutely
intoxicating for kids big and small. All the ice cream is made in-house daily
with no additives or preservatives using the original sweet cream recipe
developed by two French chefs. Even the waffle cones, pies and brownies are
baked fresh daily.
"We're excited to be joining forces with Marble Slab Creamery," said Joel
Porter, Big Brothers Big Sisters Vice President of Development. "Ice-cream is
everyone's favourite summer treat and Marble Slab Creamery is truly the
ultimate ice cream experience! We expect all of our Littles and Bigs to enjoy
this day immensely."
