Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - GO Transit adds more rail service on the Milton line

    TORONTO, June 25, 2009 /CNW/ -

    What:     GO Transit will be hosting a customer appreciation event and
              official launch ceremony at Milton GO Station to mark the start
              of service for two new train trips on the Milton corridor - the
              first new rail service for this line since 2002.

              A new weekday eastbound morning train will depart Milton GO
              Station at 8:08 a.m., making all stops to Union Station and a
              new weekday westbound afternoon train will depart Union Station
              at 5:40 p.m., making all stops to Milton GO Station.

    When:     Monday, June 29, 2009
              6:00 a.m. - Customer appreciation event begins
              7:45 a.m. - Official launch ceremony and media event
              8:08 a.m. - New train departs for Union Station

    Where:    Milton GO Station
              780 Main St. E, Milton
              (Nearest intersection: Thompson Rd. and Main St.)
              - From East (Toronto) or West (Guelph): Exit Hwy. 401 at James
                Snow Pkwy.; south to Main St.; west to station
