-Artist meet and greet at 12:00 p.m. today-

TORONTO, April 6 /CNW/ - Today marks the completion of The Art of Go
installation designed by celebrated Kingston-area artist Shayne Dark. Over the
past week, Dark has been constructing his sculpture outside Toronto's Gardiner
Museum, a popular pedestrian area. The unique piece expresses Dark's
interpretation of the word Go as a word of action - the foundation of Visa's
brand idea. A goal of the project is to invoke personal interpretation from
Torontonians about what Go means to them. Dark's work evokes contrasts between
urban settings and the natural world, and is meant to stimulate a spiritual or
visceral reaction in the viewer. The project is part of The Art of Go, a
multi-channel consumer campaign to support Visa's brand idea. Similar
installations are being built by local artists in Vancouver and Montreal. An
artist meet and greet will take place at the Gardiner Museum today at 12:00
p.m. Visit to see images of the installations.
