    WHAT:  Holiday Food Drive Public Sorting
           The Holiday Food Drive has raised 810,000 pounds of food so far,
           well on the way to the 1 million pound goal. 1,000 volunteers will
           be sorting food in two shifts each day.
           Note: Daily Bread is fully booked for public sorting. No
           volunteers are required.

    WHEN:  December 27 and 28
           10:00-1:00 and 1:30-4:30

    Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at any fire hall,
Loblaws or Real Canadian Superstore. The fastest, easiest way to make a
financial gift is online at A second option is to donate by
phone with a credit card by calling 416-203-0050. Or people can mail cheques
to: Daily Bread Food Bank, 191 New Toronto Street, Toronto, ON M8V 2E7. The
Holiday Food Drive runs until January 4, 2008.

    Daily Bread Food Bank is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated
to fighting hunger. Last year, over 905,000 people in the GTA relied on food
banks. Daily Bread and its member agencies serve the majority of these people
through neighbourhood food banks and meal programs in over 160 member
