The Mikey Network is a non-profit organization working to create public
awareness and provide education about heart healthy lifestyles. The Mikey
Network is committed to placing MIKEYS in as many high-risk locations as
possible so people affected by sudden cardiac arrest might have a second
chance at life. The organization has raised over $500,000 and has placed
MIKEYS across Ontario in schools, community centres, Toronto Police Service
Facilities, municipal offices, libraries, gyms and arenas. This is a major
life-saving initiative dedicated to former Heathwood Homes Partner Mike Salem,
who died of sudden cardiac arrest on a golf course in 2002.
