TORONTO, June 17 /CNW/ - Are coming out in the workplace and climbing the
corporate career ladder mutually exclusive?
According to a report released earlier this month by Catalyst, this may
well be the case as findings indicate that workplace barriers continue to
persist for employees who identify as LGBT. Clearly, LGBT individuals continue
to face discrimination and limited advancement opportunities in the workplace
simply due to their sexual orientation. This remains the reality for many in
the LGBT community in Canada, despite the fact that in recent years creating
an inclusive workplace for LGBT employees has been on the corporate agenda and
a priority for companies such as KPMG.
To hear the real stories, share experiences, speak out against
discrimination, and celebrate diversity, please join us at the last of our
four-part luncheon series, hosted by KPMG and the WXN, during Toronto Pride
Join our Moderator, Michael Bach, Director of Diversity, Equity &
