OTTAWA, June 14 /CNW Telbec/ - Women of the Métis Nation is pleased to
announce that it will be an active participant in the upcoming National
Aboriginal Women's Summit to be held from June 20th to June 22nd in Corner
Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Women of the Métis Nation will be sending ten delegates to participate in
this historic meeting between Aboriginal women, provincial and territorial
premiers and ministers, and federal government representatives. Delegates to
the National Aboriginal Women's Summit will discuss and present their
recommendations on priority issues to the government representatives in

The MNC represents the Métis Nation in Canada at the national and
international level. The Métis Nation's homeland includes the three Prairie
provinces and extends into Ontario, British Columbia, the Northwest
Territories and the northern United States. There are approximately 350,000 -
400,000 Métis Nation citizens in Canada.
