A call for a fair, open and accountable Atlantic Lottery Corporation!
FREDERICTON, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - An awareness campaign called LottoFairness.ca
is being launched today and tomorrow calling on the Atlantic Lottery
Corporation (Atlantic Lotto) to be more open, transparent and accountable to
On May 28, 2007, Atlantic Lotto launched iBingo, a new online bingo game
currently advertised on television.
Contrary to the Atlantic Procurement Agreement, Atlantic Lotto never
announced a search for a company to provide iBingo, never initiated a public
tendering process for iBingo, and (to date) has not publicly identified the
Swedish company to which it now pays millions of dollars for iBingo.
Atlantic Canadians own Atlantic Lotto!
Canadian companies from Atlantic Canada and away have a right to know
about and compete for multi-million dollar Atlantic Lotto contracts.
Atlantic Canadians have a right to know their money is spent responsibly
- that Atlantic Lotto is demanding the best price for the best service from
Atlantic Canadian politicians have a duty to hold Atlantic Lotto to
public account for the way it carries on business.
