Media Advisory - Western School District caretakers to hold "information picket" September 30

CORNER BROOK, NL, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - The union representing caretakers at
the Western School District will hold an 'information picket' tomorrow,
September 30 at Presentation Junior High School, commencing at 2:45 pm.
The action is being prompted by a decision to move caretaking staff to an
evening shift for the schools in the immediate Corner Brook area.
CUPE National Representative Rex Hillier says, "We'll be handing out
leaflets to parents letting them know that this schedule change will leave the
schools without a caretaker during the school day to take care of specific
needs that are required and that can arise."

(ATTENTION ASSIGNMENT/PHOTO EDITORS: The info picket takes place at
Presentation Junior High, 21 Mount Bernard Ave. and will run from 2:45 pm
until 3:30 pm.)
