Media Advisory - West Vancouver celebrates one-year countdown


    WEST VANCOUVER, Feb. 10 /CNW/ - On February 12, District of West
Vancouver Mayor Pamela Goldsmith-Jones and West Vancouver 2010 Managing
Director Rob Whittle will outline a few of West Vancouver's celebration,
community engagement and legacy plans for the upcoming year.
    Richard Turner, Board Director on the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and
Paralympic Organizing Committee (VANOC) will speak on West Vancouver's role
within the Games. Plus, Chief Ian Campbell of the Squamish Nation will be
presiding over a special First Nations blessing.
    Spectators and media will have the opportunity to film and photograph
this visual event. Afterwards, in the nearby West Vancouver Seniors' Centre,
Mayor Pamela Goldsmith-Jones, and Rob Whittle will be available to answer
media questions.
