- Finalists cook to impress at live event -
VANCOUVER, June 17 /CNW/ - Today, the gloves come off as finalists
compete in the cook-off event of the summer; the Kraft Pure Flavour Recipe
Challenge. Selected from a long list of entrants, the finalists will be
challenged to create an original salad recipe on the spot. They must use a
mystery local ingredient, which will remain a secret until the competition
begins. One lucky winner will be crowned the Pure Flavour Champion and awarded
a week-long trip to Italy.
Acclaimed Chef David Hawksworth, owner of the soon-to-open Hawksworth in
the Hotel Georgia will judge the finalists along with a few of Vancouver's
well-known food aficionados. Contestants will be judged on recipe uniqueness,
creativity and presentation.
