VANCOUVER, Feb. 18 /CNW/ - A union representing hundreds of workers at
Vancouver International Airport will hold a news conference Thursday to detail
a serious air safety issue facing all YVR airport travelers.
Representatives of the Union of Canadian Transportation Employees - a
component union of the Public Service Alliance of Canada - will be presenting
full information to the media on Thursday.
The news conference will take place THURSDAY FEBRUARY 19 at 10:00 a.m. -
at the Vancouver Public Library's Alma Van Dusen Room, Lower Level, 350 West
Georgia Street.
(NOTE: Earlier this month the UCTE demanded an independent inquiry into
snow removal problems at YVR after learning new details of a jet crash during
a snowstorm in early January. However, this news conference is about a
completely different air safety issue.)
