Media invited to attend first major recording at Surrey's Bell Performing
VANCOUVER, Sept. 22 /CNW/ - The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the
2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC), together with the Vancouver
Symphony Orchestra (VSO), will record more than 100 national anthems of
countries competing in the 2010 Winter Games.
The VSO, conducted by Maestro Bramwell Tovey, will record the anthems
from Sunday, September 21 through to Tuesday, September 23, 2008, with the
full 73-piece orchestra. Members of the media are invited to attend part of a
recording session on Monday, September 22. Representatives from the VSO and
VANOC will be available for interviews.
