Media Advisory - Vancouver 2010 mascot launch: embargo session information

    VANCOUVER, Nov. 26 /CNW/ - The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the
2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) invites the media to
participate in an embargo session immediately prior to the unveiling of the
Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games mascots. The embargo
session will provide media with the opportunity to file a first story prior to
the in-theatre show, enabling members of the media to take in the entire
35-minute performance.
    The mascots will be introduced to an audience of 800 schoolchildren at
the Bell Performing Arts Centre in Surrey, BC, on Tuesday, November 27th at
10:30 am PST.

    Embargo session:   Tuesday, November 27th
                       9:45 am to 10:20 am PST

    Where:             Bell Performing Arts Centre (media centre)
                       6250 - 144th Street
                       Surrey, BC
                       Media Entrance: Main Entrance to theatre (west side)
                       On-site media registration and accreditation begins at
                       9:00 am

    VANOC is responsible for the planning, organizing, financing and staging
of the XXI Olympic Winter Games and the X Paralympic Winter Games in 2010. The
2010 Olympic Winter Games will be staged in Vancouver and Whistler from
February 12 to 28, 2010. Vancouver and Whistler will host the Paralympic
Winter Games from March 12 to 21, 2010.
