Media Advisory - UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples is scheduled to be voted on tomorrow at the UN General Assembly

    OTTAWA, Sept. 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Assembly of First Nations National Chief
Phil Fontaine will be in New York City tomorrow to attend the United Nations
vote on the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Several regional
chiefs will be in New York including, Alberta Regional Chief Wilton
Littlechild, Northwest Territories Regional Chief Bill Erasmus, and Nova
Scotia/Newfoundland and Labrador Regional Chief Rick Simon. Grand Chief Ed
John of the First Nations Summit will also be available for media interviews.

    Event:    National Chief Phil Fontaine, and several Regional Chiefs
              will be available for interviews after the vote by phone or in
              person on site at the United Nations
    Date:     Thursday, September 13th, 2007
    Time:     Meeting starts at 10:00 AM, voting will happen sometime after
              that. Media availability on-site after the vote.
    Location: United Nations General Assembly Hall, New York
