VANCOUVER, June 23 /CNW/ - The UBC Centre for Urban Economics and Real
Estate at the Sauder School of Business presents the roundtable event "Real
Estate Capital Markets After the Credit Crisis."
The roundtable will consist of presentations and a panel discussion by
three of the world's leading experts on real estate finance: Mr. Carl Gomez,
Bentall Capital's Vice President, Research; Professor Richard Green at the
George Washington University School of Business (previously with Freddie Mac);
and Professor Tim Riddiough at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The roundtable participants will discuss the effects of the subprime
crisis in the United States on commercial and residential finance as it
relates to real estate markets in the U.S and Canada.
Presentations from each of the three panelists will be followed by a
question and answer period. The event will be moderated by Prof. Tsur
Somerville of the Sauder School of Business, and Director of Sauder's UBC
Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate.
