Media Advisory - Trails Open Ontario event in Woodford

    Location:      Bruce Trail - Sydenham Section
                   Woodford Community Centre
                   107 Woodford Crescent, Woodford
    Meeting Place: The Woodford Community Centre is located on Woodford
                   Crescent, near the intersection of Highway 26 and County
                   Road 18 between Owen Sound and Meaford.
    Event:         Bruce Trail Day in Woodford - Experienced volunteers from
                   the Sydenham Bruce Trail Club will lead a variety of hikes
                   of different lengths throughout the day to help
                   participants explore this magnificent area of the Niagara
                   Escarpment. The hikes will be up to 4 km and 90 minutes in
                   length, departing at 10 a.m., 12 noon and 2 p.m.
                   Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

    Bruce Trail Day in Woodford is one of seven events planned across the
province for the pilot year of Trails Open Ontario.
    Modelled on the success of Doors Open Ontario - a provincewide heritage
tourism program - Trails Open Ontario is designed to promote trail use and
education, support natural heritage conservation and stewardship, and
encourage physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Trails Open Ontario
