Media Advisory - Trails Open Ontario event in Centre Wellington

    Date:           Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 2 p.m.
    Location:       Elora Cataract Trailway
                    Between Elora and Fergus
    Directions/     Parking is available in the Gerrie Road lot in Elora, at
    Meeting Place:  the Wellington County Museum in Elora, and at Beatty Line
                    lot in Fergus. The Gerrie Road lot is reserved for
                    disabled and elderly participants.
    Event:          Tree Planting and Hike - A ceremonial tree planting event
                    will be held by the Elora Cataract Trailway Association
                    in partnership with the Elora Salem Horticultural Society
                    and Greenspace for Wellington. The tree planting will
                    take place near the Gerrie Road parking area.

    The Tree Planting and Hike day on the Elora Cataract Trailway is one of
seven events planned across the province for the pilot year of Trails Open
    Modelled on the success of Doors Open Ontario - a provincewide heritage
tourism program - Trails Open Ontario is designed to promote trail use and
education, support natural heritage conservation and stewardship, and
encourage physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Trails Open Ontario
events are free to the public. Additional information is available at
