Media Advisory - Trails Open Ontario event in Burlington

                    Meet at the pavilion adjacent to the parking area

    Meeting Place:  of the road.
    Event:          Bruce Trail Day at Kerncliff Park - Guided interpretive
                    hikes led by experienced volunteers from the Iroquoia
                    Bruce Trail Club will introduce participants to the Bruce
                    Trail and Niagara Escarpment. The hikes will be
                    approximately 4 km and 90 minutes in length, departing at
                    10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Refreshments and
                    snacks will be provided.

    Bruce Trail Day at Kerncliff Park is one of seven events planned across
the province for the pilot year of Trails Open Ontario.
    Modelled on the success of Doors Open Ontario - a provincewide heritage
tourism program - Trails Open Ontario is designed to promote trail use and
education, support natural heritage conservation and stewardship, and
encourage physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Trails Open Ontario
events are free to the public. Additional information is available at
