TORONTO, Jan. 8 /CNW/ - A rally to show support for the people of Israel
will take place tonight, Thursday, January 8th beginning at 7:30 pm at Beth
Tzedec Synagogue (1700 Bathurst St.) in Toronto. The rally is part of a
national initiative to show support for those living in Israel's southern
region, who, for the past 8 years, have been paralyzed by thousands of Hamas
missiles from Gaza. Rallies across the country will take place on the same
night in Montreal, London, Hamilton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver and

The Toronto rally will feature Former Israeli Ambassador and high profile
political commentator Alon Pinkas. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is
expected to deliver a prepared speech to the Toronto rally and there will be a
live, satellite broadcast from Beersheva, Israel.
