HALIFAX, Nov. 8 /CNW/ - Operation Red Nose is joining forces with its
provincial sponsors, Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) and NSLC to help keep
Nova Scotia roads safe this holiday season.
At a news conference to be held Tuesday, November 13th, 2007, Don
Forgeron, Vice-President, Atlantic, IBC, will highlight the industry's
commitment to the expansion of Operation Red Nose. He will further reveal that
the program is expanding into the Truro area and announce this year's Honorary
Attending the event: Barry Barnet, Minister of Health Promotion and
Protection; Mayor Peter Kelly; Chief of Police Frank Beazley; RCMP
superintendent Gordon Barnet; and Rick Perkins, VP, Communications and
Corporate Responsibility, Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation. Local and national
representatives from Operation Red Nose will be present as well.
