TORONTO, Aug. 25 /CNW/ - The Education Quality and Accountability Office
(EQAO) has posted the 2007-2008 Assessments of Reading, Writing and
Mathematics, Primary Division (Grades 1-3) and Junior Division (Grades 4-6),
and the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics on its Web site, www.eqao.com, to
give the public a chance to see the kinds of reading, writing and math skills
students are expected to demonstrate on the annual province-wide assessments.
The test booklets, as well as the answer keys and samples of student written
responses at each performance level, are now available.
This Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 10 a.m., EQAO will release
provincial-level results for students who wrote these tests. Highlights of the
results will be posted on EQAO's Web site, along with an overview of student
achievement by subgroup (i.e. gender, English language learners and students
with special needs.)
On September 17, 2008, EQAO will release individual school and board
reports and the full Provincial Report, 2007-2008, for the primary and junior
divisions and Grade 9, including subgroup and contextual data, a summary of
findings and strategies for success. Schools and boards will have their
