Media Advisory - Salt + Light TV Set to Air Comprehensive Coverage of Eucharistic Congress

    Thousands of Catholics to gather June 15-22 at Quebec City Based Congress

    TORONTO, June 11 /CNW/ - Salt + Light Television, Canada's first National
Catholic television network, today announced that they will provide daily
comprehensive coverage of the 49th International Eucharistic Congress from
Quebec City.
    Thousands of Catholic pilgrims from across Canada and the world will
gather in Quebec City to celebrate the Eucharistic Congress. The Congress is
an experience of faith that includes a variety of celebrations, religious and
artistic activities, for both Congress pilgrims and the general public. Pope
Benedict XVI will deliver a live homely via satellite during the Sunday,
June 22th closing ceremony and participate in the mass via webcam.
    Salt + Light's on air team of young journalists are available for
interviews, colour commentaries and debriefs with local broadcast news teams
via satellite for the duration of the Congress in English, French, Spanish and
    Salt + Light's live coverage of the Eucharistic Congress is available
through Toronto TOC.

    Highlights of Salt + Light Television's broadcast schedule include:

    Sunday June 15

    Opening Mass LIVE from Quebec City, Sunday at 4:00pm.

    Monday June 16 - Saturday June 21

    Daily LIVE broadcasts from 9:00am - 12:30pm in English,
    2:00 - 5:30pm in French

    Sunday June 22

    Closing Mass LIVE at 11am

    Every evening, encore presentations of the day's significant events will
    be aired starting at 8pm

    For additional daily recaps, viewers of the Catholic network can tune
into ZOOM every weekday at 7pm & 11pm. Zoom is also available on-line at, in addition to the full broadcast schedule and special
