    OTTAWA, March 26 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to
attend the Canada 2020/Crossing Boundaries 2nd Annual Conference which is
entitled "Citizens, Governments, Volunteers and Business: Who Does What in a
Progressive Canada?" from March 26-28 at the Hilton Lac Leamy, in Gatineau,
    The conference will also feature the launch of the book: Progressive
Governance for Canadians: What you need to Know, written by the Crossing
Boundaries/Canada 2020 Working Group. Conference keynote speakers include:


    - H.E. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of Liberia - Africa's first
      elected female leader, and one of Time Magazine's Top 100 Most
      Influential people in 2006;
    - Salman Rushdie, Renowned author on the issue of multiculturalism and
      what it means for progressives today;
    - Tim Flannery, author of the Weather Makers and his insight on the
      public debate over the environment;
    - Chris Anderson, editor-in-chief of Wired Magazine and author of the
      widely acclaimed book on the new niche digital economy, The Long Tail;
    - Hon. Shawn Graham, Premier of New Brunswick on engaging the public in
      making New Brunswick a "have" province by 2025;
    - Hon. Anne McLellan, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Hon. Senator Hugh
      Segal, co-chairs of the conference.
