Media Advisory - RONA and VANOC to open the RONA Vancouver 2010 Fabrication Shop and launch community training program

    VANCOUVER, Nov. 16 /CNW/ - On Monday, November 19, the Vancouver
Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC)
and RONA, a Vancouver 2010 National Partner, will officially open the RONA
Vancouver 2010 Fabrication Shop. The Fabrication Shop will provide the 2010
Winter Games with customized small carpentry items for use at Games time. A
unique aspect of this Fabrication Shop involves a 30-week carpentry skills
training and job-experience program.
    Media will have an opportunity to tour the Fabrication Shop and conduct
interviews immediately following the presentations.

    When:     Monday, November 19, 2007 at 11:00 am PST

    Where:    1220 East 2nd Avenue
              (Note: parking in the area is limited; media are encouraged to
              arrive early and park at Vernon and 2nd Avenue)
