Media Advisory - Ron Parks' review of costing and evaluation of public private partnerships to be released Thursday January 29

    VANCOUVER, Jan. 29 /CNW/ - Respected forensic accountant Ron Parks will
release the findings of his evaluation of public private partnership project
costing at a news conference on Thursday, January 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the
Empire Landmark Hotel in Vancouver.
    Parks will be joined at the conference by his colleague Rosanne Terhart,
and by Barry O'Neill, president of the B.C. division of the Canadian Union of
Public Employees, which commissioned the review.

    What:     News conference - Release of Parks' report on P3 projects

    Where:    Pavilion 1-2, Empire Landmark Hotel, 1400 Robson Street,

    O'Neill says that Parks' findings come at a time when problems abound
with private financing and P3 projects around the world and that the report
will provide an unbiased analysis of how the B.C. government is costing and
evaluating P3s.
    Parks' report will be available from CUPE BC's website,
following Thursday's news conference.
