Media advisory - Recently returned Afghanistan veterans coming to your area

VALCARTIER, QC, Oct. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - In late July and early August 2007,
nearly 250 Canadian Forces (CF) members from all over Quebec returned to the
country after completing a six to eight month mission in Afghanistan as part
of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
At the time of their return, a number of journalists expressed their
desire to meet these new veterans who had completed a unique military
operation in an extremely dangerous environment. Now that they are back from
vacation and are preparing to return to work, a number of these soldiers have
agreed to take time to meet with you and answer your questions.
These spokespeople will be available at the Valcartier Garrison on
Tuesday, October 2, 2007, between 9:00 A.M. and twelve noon. Please note that
this is not a press briefing, but rather an opportunity to meet the new
veterans on a person-to-person basis.
Members of the media interested in meeting these soldiers are asked to
contact Captain Michel Arsenault at the numbers below. They are then invited
to the main gate of the Valcartier Garrison on October 2, at 8:45 A.M., to
take part in the meeting.
