Media Advisory - Public Drug Plans: Canada Ranks Near Bottom in International Study - Presentation by Wyatt Health Management

TORONTO, Sept. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Media are invited to join patient
representatives at the national release of the 2007 Wyatt Health International
Comparison on Monday, September 15. This first of its kind study raises
serious questions about the quality of Canada's public drug plans and
demonstrates that Canada ranks near the bottom of developed countries in terms
of timeliness and access to the new innovative medicines.
The Wyatt Health International Comparison Study explored differing rates
of public access since 2003 to the latest innovative medications for a range
of serious illnesses in 18 developed countries including Canada, the U.S.,
parts of Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
The results will be unveiled in a brief presentation by George Wyatt
followed by a question and answer session with patient representatives.
Mr. Wyatt will be available for media interviews following the briefing.
