Media Advisory - Press Conference on Human Rights Challenge to Ontario Special Diet Allowance Program

    TORONTO, March 5 /CNW/ - The latest developments in the human rights
challenge to the Province of Ontario's Special Diet Allowance program will be
announced at a press conference on Thursday, March 6 at 10:00am at the Queen's
Park Media Studio.
    A series of complaints have been made to the Ontario Human Rights
Commission by Ontarians with substantial disabilities, whose Special Diet
allowances under the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) were reduced or
eliminated when the provincial government abruptly changed the program rules
in 2005.
    A significant decision affecting the next stages of the human rights
challenge will be announced at the press conference.
