Media Advisory - Premier McGuinty To Commemorate 90th Anniversary Of Battle Of Vimy Ridge At Queen's Park

    TORONTO, April 6 /CNW/ - On Monday, April 9, Premier McGuinty and the
Honourable James K. Bartleman, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will attend a
special Ceremony of Remembrance marking the 90th anniversary of Canada's
victory at Vimy Ridge. The ceremony will be held at the Veterans' Memorial at
Queen's Park.
    "We owe a great debt of gratitude to the thousands of Canadians who
risked or gave their lives in the Battle of Vimy Ridge," said Premier
McGuinty. "It is our solemn duty as citizens to remember their sacrifice,
honour their selfless courage and preserve the peace they earned for us - on
this anniversary and always."

    When:     Monday, April 9 at 9:45 a.m.

    Where:    Veterans' Memorial
              Front lawn, Legislative Building
              Queen's Park
              Toronto, ON
