Media Advisory - Park the Tax Coalition Reacts to TransLink Governance Review

    VANCOUVER, March 9 /CNW/ - Representatives from the Park the Tax
Coalition, which represents 23,000 businesses and organizations opposed to the
parking tax will comment on their reaction to Minister Falcon's announcement
of the governance review, including the elimination of the parking tax, at a
news conference Friday March 9 at 10:00 AM.
    The Coalition made a number of recommendations to the governance review
panel appointed by the provincial government including improve government
accountability and reconsider current methods of revenue generation.
    Representatives from a broad cross-section of the business community will
speak and be available for interviews at the news conference including:

     -  Laura Jones, Vice President, BC and Yukon - Canadian Federation of
