TORONTO, Aug. 13 /CNW/ - The Independent Electricity System Operator
(IESO) is offering an opportunity to do interviews and shoot B-Roll in the
Control Room from which Ontario's electricity needs are managed tomorrow
during the Count Me In! Community Challenge. During the Community Challenge,
municipalities across the province are competing to see which one can reduce
the most electricity. The IESO is responsible for assessing the outcome of the
The challenge takes place on Friday, August 14 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and
coincides with the anniversary of the 2003 North American blackout. Winners
will be revealed at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario Annual
Conference on August 19 for the highest percentage megawatt hour savings and
for pledges per capita.
