    SUDBURY, ON, Sept. 23 /CNW/ - Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) President
Linda Haslam-Stroud, RN, will join registered nurses and dignitaries to mark
the Ontario Nurses' Association's 35th anniversary.
    ONA will hold a special evening at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Sudbury on
September 25 to celebrate the milestone.

    ONA is the country's largest nurses' union, with 54,000 registered nurses
and allied health professionals working in Ontario's hospitals, long-term care
facilities, public and community health and industry.

    Remarks will highlight past successes and current/future challenges for
RNs and for Ontario's health-care system. President Linda Haslam-Stroud will
be available for interviews.
