    Leading industry representatives brainstorm community housing solutions
    at the 2007 Annual Conference and Trade Show

    TORONTO, Nov. 15 /CNW/ -


    The 19th Annual Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association (ONPHA) conference
    & trade show begins next Sunday, November 18th. Over 1,500
    representatives from Ontario's affordable housing sector will gather next
    week for a four-day conference and tradeshow featuring 103 educational
    and conference workshops and 75 trade show booths.

    The conference attracts a variety of business leaders, landlords, tenants
    and government representatives under a single roof to discuss a wide
    variety of subjects, including:

    -  Social and supportive housing issues: homelessness, the realities of
    poverty, the role of shelters, housing people with active
    addictions, handling dementia and facilitating community gardening
    -  Economic issues: entrepreneurialism, fundraising and asset
    -  Administrative issues: building administration, zoning, legal
    contracts, maintenance, taxes and energy efficient building


    A roster of colourful and qualified speakers and panelists will be in
    attendance, including:
