Media advisory - Ontario ministers meet with federal, provincial and territorial justice counterparts

    TORONTO, Nov. 14 /CNW/ - Ontario Attorney General Chris Bentley and
Community Safety and Correctional Services Minister Rick Bartolucci will
attend the 2007 meeting of federal, provincial and territorial ministers
responsible for justice in Winnipeg this week.

    Topics on the agenda of interest to Ontario include:

    -   Mandatory minimum sentences and tougher bail provisions for firearms
    -   Limiting recognition of pre-trial custody in sentencing
    -   Federal government support for the cost of new federal justice
    -   Improving access to family courts for the most vulnerable
    -   The changing composition and dynamic of Canada's correctional
