Media Advisory - New study to identify significant cost savings for Toronto

TORONTO, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - The city is holding hostage the most vulnerable
citizens with threatened service cuts in a political game designed to push
through new taxes.
But doesn't it make sense to first trim the fat from city operations and
move to alternate methods of delivering services before penalizing residents
or punishing taxpayers?
The Ontario Waste Management Association (OWMA) will present a new study
that identifies significant cost savings for Toronto. This new study comes at
a critical time as City Council considers service reductions or taxes.

    When: Wednesday, September 19, 2007
              11 a.m.

    Where: Toronto City Hall
              Members' Lounge
              100 Queen Street West, Toronto
