Media Advisory - National Launch of Moving Forward Together - A Canada-wide fundraising campaign for Aboriginal people and the future of Canada

    VANCOUVER, June 9 /CNW Telbec/ - A partnership of Aboriginal, business,
community and Catholic leaders will launch the Moving Forward Together
fundraising campaign in Vancouver next week. The objective of the national
campaign is to raise $25-million over five years to help create a brighter
future for Aboriginal communities by supporting healing and youth education
Although many Aboriginal people have found hope in their families,
success in their work and fulfillment in their lives, others continue to live
in the shadow of a painful past. Funds raised by the campaign will help them
heal from these experiences and benefit from the same opportunities available
to the rest of Canadian society.
News media are invited to attend this important event and learn more
about the campaign.
