Media Advisory - Monday, September 22, 2008 - Development and Peace receives four prominent guests from the South

    MONTREAL, Sept. 18 /CNW Telbec/ - Four guests from Brazil, Burkina Faso,
the Philippines and Mexico will participate in the launch of Development and
Peace's new advocacy campaign on Monday.
    This campaign focuses on food sovereignty and aims to illustrate the
threats caused by certain Canadian mining companies on access to food and
agricultural production.
    In their respective countries, the Development and Peace guests are
specialists in agrarian reform, biodiversity and food security. They will
participate in two evening public conferences on Monday, September 22, at
Centre St-Pierre and Université de Montréal.
