Media Advisory - Minister Smitherman to Detail Changes to Long-Term Strategy in First Major Address to Energy Sector

    TORONTO, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - George Smitherman, Deputy Premier and Minister
of Energy and Infrastructure, will outline strategic changes to Ontario's
long-term energy plan today in his first major address to the energy sector.
    The changes are designed to strengthen the role of Ontario's energy
system as a key part of the McGuinty government's drive to "green" the
province and its economy.
    Immediately following the Minister's remarks to the 2008 annual
conference of the Ontario Energy Association, he will take media questions.
