Media advisory - Mi'kmaq of Nova Scotia to sign historic Nationhood Proclamation

    HALIFAX, Sept. 30 /CNW/ - The Mi'kmaq of Nova Scotia will declare an
historic Nationhood Proclamation at Province House in Halifax at a brief
ceremony starting at 11:30 am, Wednesday, October 1, 2008.
    Grand Chief Ben Sylliboy will sign the Proclamation in the presence of
chiefs, councillors, elders and Premier Rodney MacDonald. The Proclamation has
been endorsed by all 13 chiefs and councils. Details of the Proclamation will
be available following the ceremony.
