LONGUEUIL, QC, Aug. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain
Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) and the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ)
will continue to close a southbound lane on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge from
Monday, September 1st to Thursday, September 4th, outside of rush hour
periods, as the contractor will be working mostly at night.
- September 1st at 7:30 pm to September 2nd at 11 am ;
- September 2nd at 7:30 pm to September 3rd at 11 am ;
- September 3rd at 7:30 pm to September 4th at 11 am.
This closure will allow the contractor, the Mohawk Bridge Consortium
(MBC), to continue repairing connection plates. In all, nearly fifty plates
will be repaired by the MBC during this first phase. This work will be done
under the bridge structure and will not be apparent to users. However, this
operation is essential to the bridge repair work and replacement of the deck.
