Media Advisory - Meals on Wheels expert available for comment on service funding issues

TORONTO, June 11 /CNW/ - Susan Thorning, industry expert and CEO of the
Ontario Community Support Association, is available to discuss the current
funding issues and concerns surrounding Meals on Wheels services in Ontario
and Canada. With a seniors' population that will double by 2028, how will
community agencies be able to respond to the needs of individuals in the
community when funding has not matched inflation and service demands?

What: A critical lack of funding for community support services like
Meals on Wheels are impeding service providers from providing timely and
responsive care in the community. Additional home support services will
suffer the same fate if action is not taken.

Who: Susan Thorning, CEO of the Ontario Community Support Association

When: Available for interview June 11 and 12th
