    TORONTO, June 7 /CNW/ - Join Sears Canada and Coast to Coast Against
Cancer Foundation as they announce a new National major charity initiative
that will see cyclists ride across Canada, traveling nearly 6,000 kilometers,
in the longest and most exciting charitable cycling event in the world. The
Ride is expected to be an annual event with the goal of raising significant
monies for children's cancer charities in Canada.

    WHO:    Dene Rogers, Sears Canada's President and CEO and Jeff Rushton,
            Founder, Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation will be on hand
            to officially announce and reveal an exciting, never-been-done
            before national cycling fundraising initiative that will take
            place in early summer, 2008.

    WHAT:   The launch will also include numerous exciting cycling events and
            activities at Dundas Square:

    High school students, Toronto Police Officers, and Sears Canada
    associates will compete in the first ever "friendly" stationary cycling
    challenge called "The Inside Ride" ( This
    challenging and fun-spirited cycling competition is getting rave reviews
    throughout the province from high schools, community groups and
    workplaces, looking for a fun, team-building activity to promote health
    and wellness.
