Media Advisory - Lord Peter Levene, Chairman, Lloyd's of London - "Terrorism and Political Risk - A Key Challenge for Global Business?"

TORONTO, Nov. 27 /CNW/ - Global business leaders believe they are
operating in an increasingly dangerous world and are spending more management
time focusing on terrorism and the risk of political violence, reveals
research undertaken this year by Lloyd's of London with the Economist
Intelligence Unit.
However, the reality is that 21st century terrorism is not restricted to
certain fixed 'hot spots', and solutions are rarely simple when it comes to
dealing with political violence in emerging markets.
In an age of increasing globalization, Lord Levene argues that
understanding terrorism and political violence has never been more important
for business. Drawing on over 300 years of insurance expertise at Lloyd's, he
shares his views on what company executives can do to protect their business
and take advantage of the opportunities globalization presents.
