    MONTREAL, April 30 /CNW Telbec/ - In May 2007, the Literacy Foundation
will be distributing thousands of books as part of the Gift of Reading(R)
project. This year, through donations from the public, 25,293 brand new books
will be given to underprivileged children from all regions of Quebec, in order
to prevent illiteracy and encourage students to stay in school.
    The Foundation invites you to come and share a special moment as books
are handed out in class with pre-school age children. For the occasion,
actress Marie Turgeon, the project spokesperson, will be on hand to read a
