Media advisory - Leukemia research: Cole Foundation makes generous investment

    MONTREAL, March 1 /CNW Telbec/ - Media are invited to attend the ceremony
awarding post graduate research fellowships aimed at finding a cure for
leukemia and other cancer-related illnesses. Thanks to the generous donation
by the Cole Foundation, 28 clinical researchers from both McGill University
and Université de Montréal will receive fellowships.

                       The ceremony will take place on
                       Monday, March 5, at 5:00 p.m.,
                 at the Roger-Gaudry Pavilion (Main Pavilion)
                          of Université de Montréal
                 located at 2900 Edouard-Montpetit Boulevard.

                      A cocktail reception will follow.

    The Cole Foundation was created in 1980 by Montreal businessman John N.
(Jack) Cole. After his only child, Penny, died of leukemia on her 20th
birthday, Mr. Cole established the Cole Foundation to support Montreal
hospitals and research in pediatric oncology and hematology.
