TORONTO, Oct. 30 /CNW/ - Life on the streets isn't their first choice.
But for an estimated 65,000 homeless youths across Canada, there are few
options. Most are fleeing physical, sexual or emotional abuse. They're scared.
They're vulnerable. They need help to build a better future.
Mark your calendar for Sunday, November 2, 2008 - the 5th Annual Floyd
Honey Foundation Memorial Walk, presented by Direct Energy - and better known
as Walking Home.
Setting out from the City Hall Rotunda, the walk will follow a 5K route
through downtown Toronto. Proceeds will support Raising the Roof and its
national Youthworks initiative - designed to break the cycle of homelessness
among young Canadians.
