    VANCOUVER, Feb. 15 /CNW/ - Retail Council of Canada is expecting this
year's B.C. Budget will have a significant impact on personal spending,
customer choice and the retail sector in B.C.
    The B.C. government is widely expected to introduce a budget focused on
the environment and climate change, including a number of measures to drive
individual action and consumer choice. These measures could include a new
carbon tax and a host of PST and other changes to encourage consumers to
purchase "green" products.

    Who:    Max Logan, Retail Council of Canada's B.C. Director of Government
            Relations and Membership Services, will be available to comment
            on the budget's impact on retailers and customers.

            Before joining Retail Council of Canada, Mr. Logan spent five
            years with the provincial government in a variety of ministries,
            including Finance.

    When:   Tuesday, February 19, 2008

    Where:  Mr. Logan will be inside the Victoria Budget Lock-up and can
