Media Advisory - Homegrown Ontario searches for "meaty" stories

    Dish out your best eating experience for a chance to win

    TORONTO, April 24 /CNW/ - Does your local diner dish up pork chops
smothered in mushroom gravy that are better than what Mom used to make? Did
the lamb souvlaki from the little Greek restaurant on the corner call you by
name when you last walked by? How is the veal parmigiana from your favourite
Italian restaurant? Homegrown Ontario wants to hear all about the
mouthwatering meals that your local pubs, family restaurants, delis and fine
dining establishments create using Ontario pork, veal and lamb. Consumers are
asked to send the name and address of the restaurant, a description of the
dish, and any fun or interesting anecdotes about enjoying that dish for a
chance to win a gift certificate for $500 that can be used at any one of the
39 Ontario inns represented by Ontario's Finest Inns. Eligible inns include
Haliburton's Sir Sam's Inn and Water Spa, On the Twenty in Niagara, and The
Gananoque Inn and Spa overlooking the beautiful 1000 Islands. In addition, you
may be featured, along with the eating establishment that you nominated, in a
Homegrown Ontario promotional campaign.

    Submit your story

    From cafés to canteens in Atikokan to bistros and chophouses in Waterloo
- nominate the Ontario eating establishment and the appetizer, entrée, or meal
that makes the most of Ontario veal, pork and lamb.
